There is no doubt that traveling and working at the same time, is easier in 2018 than in 1998. Today, most people own a laptop and a smartphone. These two tools make it possible for us to connect with people all over the world and earn money from wherever in the world. Are you thinking about quitting your job to travel full-time? Or would you like to try the life abroad for a short period? In that case, we suggest you read this list carefully.

Start blogging or vlogging

While you’re traveling, you will for sure see many beautiful places and gain amazing experiences. You will have a lot of exciting stories to tell – so why not tell those stories to the world through a blog? By starting a blog or a vlogging channel on Youtube, you can start earning money by sharing your experiences. However, you have to keep in mind that it can take some time before you can cover all your expenses through the blog. Your blog has to be interesting, consistent and monetized by ads and affiliate links.

Start freelancing

A quite easy way to earn money online from wherever you are is to start freelancing. Are you good at writing? Creating graphic design? Do you know a small language and are you able to translate texts? There are several websites online where hundreds of jobs are posted each day. This means that you don’t have to be an expert at what you do – as long as you have some knowledge and you’re professional, you will most likely get a job pretty soon.

Teach a language

Are you an English native speaker? Or do you speak another, exotic language? Take advantage of this skill and offer to tutor in the language you speak! Even if you’re not a native English speaker, your English may be good enough for you to teach locals. You can start language exchange groups or offer private sessions. Depending on the demand for your language, you can make a pretty good coin of it.

Work at a bar, restaurant or hotel

Without knowing the local language, finding a job as a bartender or kitchen employee at a restaurant is relatively easy wherever you go. If you speak the language, it’ll even be possible to find a job at a hotel. These types of jobs are always needed and often available all year around. Research hotels, bars, and restaurants, stop by them and give them a great first impression. Who knows, maybe they will employ you on the spot.

Become an au pair

Au pair and babysitting jobs are getting more and more common and not only in the biggest cities of the world – you can find it everywhere nowadays. If you are good with kids and have some kind of experience, you could find a family to help out in the matter of a few weeks. If you can teach them something – like English – you will be even more attractive to the parents.

Analyze yourself and your skillset

As you now know, there are many ways to earn money while you’re traveling. Before you travel, analyze yourself, your knowledge and your talents. What can you offer? What skills can you turn into money? Don’t be afraid to be confident in yourself and persuade your future employer that you have something extraordinary to offer.
